Cserkeszőlő
Cserkeszőlő is the touristic center of the Tiszazug region.
History
Although grape planting and winemaking took place in the area for centuries, the village itself only exists independently since 1952. Thermal water was found here in the 1940’s on which a spa was built in 1954 and the village became a popular holiday destination.
Attractions
The 8 hectares large spa has a wave pool, thermal baths and swimming pools. The visitor can also play beach football, volleyball and minigolf. The 82 °C medicinal water is rich in alkali-chloride and hydrogen carbonate. It is best used for musculoskeletal and gynecological problems.
The so-called Cumanian mounds found in the border of the village are ancient burial and residential places. The manmade hills are unique historical sights.
