Holystone

Hegykő is located next to Lake Neusiedl, in Győr-Moson-Sopron county. The region is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and the Fertő-Hanság National Park.

Attractions

The 55°C sodium chloride and alkali hydrogen carbonate content of the water has a good effect on musculoskeletal and respiratory problems. Also, many complementing therapies are available like massage or mud treatment.

The Neo-Roman Saint Michael Church was built in 1904 and designed by János Schilller. In the bird watching recreation park, the visitor can have a glimpse of the rich fauna of the national park. The Baroque style Plague Column built in 1720 honors the victim of the bubonic plague in 1711.

Hegykő has many events, including the Gastronomy and Wine Days, the Ten Springs Festival or the Street of Wine Festival.
