Urban Public Transport Museum, Szentendre

The museum was opened in 1914 in a disused HÉV (commuter rail) train station. The exhibition presents the transportation history and structure of Budapest and other cities, and the history of BKV, the Budapest Transport Company. Besides the many smaller objects, the visitor can see and even board 60 renovated vehicles. Among the vehicles exhibited, there is a railway wagon from 1887, a tram from the turn of the century, a trolleybus and buses.
