The church was built by settling, rich Bosniaks between 1741 and 1746. The steeple is a later addition, it was designed by János Goldinger and constructed in 1852. The facade is decorated by four Doric pilasters and a Classicist tympanum above the choir window.

Looking up inside, we can see a four sections of the spherical vault. The walls are decorated by Rococo pilasters. There is a painting which depicts the Virgin Mary making a miracle. The Russian-Ukranian style iconostasis is remarkably ornamented. The icon wall has 5 levels, it is gilded and painted green.
