National Institute of the Deaf and Dumb, Vác
The first school for the deaf and dumb was founded by András Cházár in 1802. His statue can be seen in the park of the school. The building was constructed with incorporating multiple medieval houses. It was also used as a palace for bishops, a Theresianum school, a nunnery, and an all-girls school. In 1741, Maria Theresa was a guest in the building.
