Mansion, Vác
The medieval building that stood here was the home of the cathedral chapter which is also evidenced by the boss stone of the vaulted gate. Documents from 1770 show that the building, rebuilt in Baroque style by then, was used as a lodging house. Later it was renovated again, so today the facade shows eclecticism in its style. The cellar of the Kúria is 140 m² large area, part of which was built around 1520.
Since 2006, the building houses the Wine Museum and the Choco Cafe, and also the Vác Smile Album, where we can see the works of the Kossuth Prize winner illustrator and caricaturist Ferenc Sajdik. In front of the building there is a campanile, which plays pleasant music every hour.
