The bastion-like, Baroque building of the Calvary can be found in the suburb of Vác. The pilgrimage site with a hermitage and a chapel was built between 1726 and 1738.

The stations are located along the spiral steps leading to statues carved in 1738 on the top of the hill. Upon reaching the top, visitors are greeted with a beautiful panorama of the city and the Danube.
