Greek Church, Vác
The Greek Catholic monument church can be accessed from the courtyard of the Baroque building of 19 Március 15. Square and also from the Katona Lajos Street. The church was built by the settling Southern Slavic merchant families between 1793 and 1795. The steeple was finished in 1805. Due to the decreasing number of the members in the congregation, by the start of World War II, the church was barely used, and it became a property of the city in 1964.
Today, the church, with the adjacent buildings, houses a museum with temporary exhibitions mostly on fine arts.
