Bishop's Palace, Vác

The palace was designed by the Austrian architect József Meissl and built between 1768 and 1775. Its garden contains many rare plants. The side wing of the building faces the Cathedral, its main entrance can be accessed from the Migazzi Square.

There is a multi-storey cellar under the building which was originally used for the storing of the products coming from the large vineyard. The U-plan palace was built in late Baroque style with a richly decorated entrance and a triple windowed main hall. The pompous residence opens its gates for visitors during celebrations and events.
