Pointed Tower, Vác

The Pointed Tower is the northernmost  corner tower of the medieval city wall. The tower and the detail of the wall are the only remaining monuments from the medieval city which was destroyed during the Mongolian invasion. Originally topped with a battlement, the tower was named "pointed" by locals after its later appearance with a conical roof. Today it is part of a residential building.
