The hills and forest of the village make it an ideal place for refreshing the mind and the body. The relaxation is complemented with a spa, a youth camp, a camping, and folk architecture. The 40 °C thermal water erupting from 517 meters deep was found in the 1930’s during an oil drill; today it is known worldwide. It is bottled since 1940, and sold as Salvus since 1951. It has a wide range of medicinal applications: is helps with rheumatic and other musculoskeletal problems; as a drinking treatment it is good for digestive and respiratory problems. The construction of the spa began at the end of the 1940’s.

One of the main sights of Bükkszék is the Catholic church built in Roman style in the 13th century with later Baroque and Gothic additions. It has no tower but here is a wooden belfry next to it.

It is also worth to check out the Potter House.

There is a camping place for tourists coming with tent or mobile home. The youth camp is located on the hill next to the village.
